Sunny, warmer day in Milwaukee made for a great visit to the Zoo with drawing students. I was able to fit in two studies on my alloted 3″ x 5″ space in the sketch a day book. Both enchanting creatures to me – Bahatika the giraffe and a Tiger Tail Seahorse. Mike the zookeeper asked if we would like to see the seahorses eat…enthusiastic “yes of course.” Little white (dead) shrimp were dropped into the aquarium to which the seahorses sluggishly moved to eat. However, once a shrimp drifted close to their mouth, it was quickly consumed.
